In the batch process, a plant with a scraper agitator, homogeniser and vacuum system usually works as follows:<\/p><ol class=\"svt-steps\"><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">1<\/span><strong>Initial charge<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">First, the humectants glycerine and sorbitol go into the mixer.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">2<\/span><strong>Drawing in binders<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">The plant then draws in binders such as sodium carboxymethylcellulose in stages below the liquid level, while stirring and homogenising in circulation.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">3<\/span><strong>Completing the solution<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">Demineralised water, saccharin, preservatives and other additives follow one after the other.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">4<\/span><strong>Allowing to swell<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">Further stirring and <a href=\"\/en\/homogenisation\/\">homogenising<\/a> support the swelling of the binders.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">5<\/span><strong>Drawing in solids<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">Abrasives such as chalk, fumed silica and finally the surfactant are then added in portions under vacuum. This prevents foam from disrupting the process.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">6<\/span><strong>Deaeration<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">Under vacuum, the mass is <a href=\"\/en\/deaeration\/\">deaerated<\/a>, until it is smooth and supple.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">7<\/span><strong>Flavour and release<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">Finally, the plant draws in the flavour oils.
