In the batch process, a plant with a scraper agitator, homogeniser and vacuum system usually works like this:<\/p><ol class=\"svt-steps\"><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">1<\/span><strong>Charging<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">First, the humectants glycerine and sorbitol go into the mixer.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">2<\/span><strong>Drawing in binders<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">Next, the plant draws in binders such as sodium carboxymethyl cellulose in stages below the liquid level, while agitating and homogenising in circulation.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">3<\/span><strong>Completing the solution<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">Then deionised water, saccharin, preservatives and other additives follow one after another.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">4<\/span><strong>Swelling<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">Further agitation and <a href=\"\/homogenisation\/?lang=en\">homogenisation<\/a> support the swelling of the binders.<\/span><\/li><li><span class=\"svt-step-n\">5<\/span><strong>Drawing in solids<\/strong><span class=\"svt-step-tx\">After that, abrasives such as chalk, fumed silica and finally the surfactant are added in portions under vacuum.
