This produces saturated steam, which collects in the steam space above the boiling water. For the steam generator to operate safely and without damage, feed water and boiler water must meet certain requirements.<\/p><h2>Requirements for feed and boiler water<\/h2><p>The requirements usually depend on three factors:<\/p><ul class=\"svt-checks\"><li>design of the steam generator<\/li><li>operating overpressure<\/li><li>operating conditions<\/li><\/ul><p>On this basis, the requirements for feed and boiler water are defined. It also matters whether salt-free, low-salt or saline feed water is used.
