Transfer systems are used whenever products need to move from one place to another. Typical examples are raw materials from storage vessels, pre-phases from pre-phase vessels and finished product that goes into storage tanks or directly to filling.
The transfer takes place either by pump or by vacuum. In this way, substances reach their destination reliably and at the required temperature.
Heated transfer systems
Depending on the requirements, transfer lines can also be equipped with heating. This makes sense, for example, for substances that crystallise at low temperatures and would therefore block the lines.
In addition, very temperature-sensitive products often need heated transfer lines so that the manufacturing process stays within its tolerances. Precise temperature control during the transfer ensures that sensitive substances are not damaged – for example suppositories or other preparations containing active ingredients.
SEEFRIED Verfahrenstechnik GmbH supports you in the design and conception of new transfer systems. We also evaluate and optimise your existing plants.
Frequently Asked Questions about transfer systems
What are transfer systems used for?
Transfer systems move products within production – for example raw materials from storage vessels, pre-phases from pre-phase vessels, or finished product into storage tanks or directly to filling.
Pump or vacuum – how is product transferred?
Both are possible. The right solution depends on the product, its viscosity, the required temperatures and the plant configuration.
When are heated transfer lines necessary?
For example with substances that crystallize at low temperatures and would block the lines, or with temperature-sensitive products such as suppositories, where tight temperature tolerances must be maintained.
Do you also evaluate existing transfer systems?
Yes. We support the design and conception of new transfer systems as well as the evaluation and optimization of existing ones.
