Data Protection

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

SEEFRIED Verfahrenstechnik GmbH
An der Brake 45
28844 Weyhe
Germany
Phone: +49 4203 789492
Email: info@s-vt.net

Further details can be found in our legal notice.

2. Overview

We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website, to answer your inquiries or – with your consent – to measure website usage and the success of our advertising. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally, e.g. your name, email address or IP address.

3. Hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted by an external IT service provider in Germany. When you access the website, the server automatically collects information transmitted by your browser and stores it in so-called server log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • page or file requested, amount of data transferred and HTTP status code
  • referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • browser type and version, operating system

This processing is necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security (e.g. to fend off attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of the website. The data is not combined with other data sources. Log files are deleted automatically after a short period unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. We have concluded a data processing agreement with our hosting provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

4. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock icon in your browser’s address bar. Data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

5. Cookies and consent management

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your device. We distinguish between:

Strictly necessary cookies: These are required to operate the website, e.g. to store your language selection (cookie wp-wpml_current_language) and your cookie decision (cookie svt_consent, stored for 12 months). The legal basis is Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Analytics and marketing cookies: We only use these if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner (see sections 8, 9 and 10). The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. As long as you have not consented, no Google or Microsoft services are loaded.

Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page and selecting “Decline”. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

6. Contacting us and contact form

If you contact us via the contact form, email or telephone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, company, email address, phone number, your message and the selected machine or service) in order to handle your inquiry and any follow-up questions. Mandatory fields are marked in the form.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures (e.g. a quotation for a machine), otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering inquiries). To protect against spam, the form uses a security code image (CAPTCHA) generated on our own server; no data is transferred to third parties.

We delete your data once your inquiry has been fully processed, unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. 6 or 10 years under German commercial and tax law for business correspondence).

7. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address (and your name, if provided) to send you regular information about our machines and services. Subscription uses a double opt-in procedure: you will receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. We store the time of subscription and confirmation in order to be able to prove it.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every newsletter or by sending a message to info@s-vt.net. After unsubscribing, your address is removed from the mailing list. The newsletter is sent via our own system on our web server.

8. Google Analytics 4

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how our website is used, e.g. pages visited, time spent, approximate location (country/city), device type, browser and the source of the visit. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses; they are only processed briefly to determine the approximate location. We also measure whether a contact form has been submitted successfully.

The purpose is to analyse and improve our website. The legal basis is your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The data is deleted after the retention period set in Google Analytics (maximum 14 months). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.

9. Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing

We advertise via Google Ads (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). With your consent, we use Google Ads conversion tracking: if you click on one of our ads and then send us an inquiry via the contact form on our website, Google and we can recognise that the click led to an inquiry. We only receive statistical reports (e.g. the total number of inquiries from ads), not information that identifies you personally.

In addition, visitors to our website may be added to remarketing lists so that we can later show them relevant ads for our machines in Google Search or the Google advertising network.

The legal basis is your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use Google Consent Mode so that Google respects your cookie decision. Further information and settings for personalised advertising are available at adssettings.google.com and in Google’s privacy policy.

10. Microsoft Advertising (UET conversion tracking)

We also run ads via Microsoft Advertising (provider: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland). With your consent, we use Microsoft’s Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag for this purpose. If you reach our website via an ad in Bing search or the Microsoft advertising network, a cookie is set (e.g. _uetsid, _uetvid, MUID). This allows Microsoft and us to recognise that someone clicked on an ad and then sent an enquiry via our contact form. We only receive statistical evaluations, no information that could identify you personally. Microsoft may link the data to your Microsoft account if you have one.

The legal basis is your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The UET tag is only loaded after you have consented in the cookie banner; you can withdraw your consent at any time. For more information, please see the Microsoft Privacy Statement; you can manage personalised advertising settings at account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings.

11. Transfers to third countries

When Google Analytics, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising are used, a transfer of personal data to Google LLC or Microsoft Corporation in the USA cannot be ruled out. Both companies are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR). In addition, Google and Microsoft have concluded EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

12. Fonts

The fonts used on this website (Open Sans, Titillium Web, Raleway) are hosted locally on our server. No connection to Google or other third-party servers is established to load fonts when you visit the website.

13. Your rights

Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to:

  • access the data we store about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. If your data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you may object to this processing at any time without giving reasons.

To exercise your rights, simply send an informal message to info@s-vt.net or to the address above.

Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany, www.lfd.niedersachsen.de.

14. Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy policy, we only store personal data for as long as it is required for the respective purpose or statutory retention periods apply.

15. Objection to advertising emails

We hereby object to the use of the contact data published in our legal notice for sending unsolicited advertising and information material.

16. Changes to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy when our website, the services used or the legal situation change. The version published here applies.
